- As a Class I recall, the FDA advises consumers who purchased or possess the product not to eat it and to discard or return it for a refund, with no illnesses reported so far, while federal officials continue monitoring for cases.
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates Salmonella causes about 1.35 million infections annually, with symptoms like bloody diarrhea or fever over 102 degrees Fahrenheit appearing within 12 to 72 hours.
