On a hot afternoon outside Saprae Creek, Andrea Franko walks through tall, dry glass dropping burning fuel from a drip torch. Behind her forms walls of flame quickly burning through the grass. A group of fellow wildland firefighters douse the blackened, smouldering remains with flaps and spray packs.
