A state agency and a Silicon Valley company building a data center in Salem signed a $6.7 million contract for the sale of 32-acres in Salem’s Mill Creek Corporate Center in May 2025. In July, Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek abruptly pulled the property off the table after the governor learned a data center would be built on state land.
