The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Savannah District awarded a contract Sept. 11, 2025, for phase II of the Interim Response Action at the Buxton Naval Facility, a Formerly Used Defense Sites (FUDS) property located within the Cape Hatteras National Seashore, at the end of Old Lighthouse Road.
