Congratulations for Iga Świątek are also arriving from the United States. Thomas Rose, selected by Donald Trump as US ambassador to Poland, addressed the Polish tennis player. "A great day for Poland," he wrote on the X platform.
"I don't know yet how much it means to me, because it's surreal," said Iga Świątek.
Iga Świątek won the Wimbledon final in stunning style. Politicians, led by Donald Tusk and Andrzej Duda, are also celebrating her success. "Iga has made history, although her story has only just begun," the Prime Minister wrote.
