Como vs Manchester United UEFA Champions League preview: Winless-in-6 Red Devils face pressure cooker
- On Tuesday, Como head coach Cesc Fabregas refused to discuss rumors linking him to the Manchester United managerial role, calling such questions disrespectful to current manager Michael Carrick.
- Carrick travels to Italy for Wednesday's Champions League match under serious pressure, with Manchester United enduring their worst league start in 40 years after winning just two of their first ten games.
- Hosting the English club at the 12,000-capacity Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium represents a "historic day once again for the club, the city of Como and fanbase," Fabregas said.
- Fabregas jokingly noted his team would "park the bus" to counter United's threat on Wednesday, while stressing the European encounter "is only the start of our development."
- Following a 3-1 win over Fiorentina on Sunday, Como sits fifth in Serie A, continuing rapid ascent since Fabregas took charge over four years ago as a player.
