Even 80 years after the liberation of the Dachau concentration camp, little is known about the Rothschwaige transit camp. People from all over Europe were deported here to forced labour by the Nazis. In memory of the former camp, a memorial site is planned.

The U.S. Army’s 90th Infantry Division arrived at Flossenbürg concentration camp in Germany on April 23, 1945. Hundreds gathered for a ceremony at the site April 27, 2025, that marked the 80th anniversary of the camp’s liberation.
