- On Sunday, Colson Montgomery homered and Tristan Peters hit an RBI single in the seventh inning to lift the White Sox past the Detroit Tigers 2-1, completing a series sweep and extending their winning streak to five games.
- Detroit fell for the 21st time in 25 games despite a terrific start from pitcher Keider Montero, who allowed only two hits over six shutout innings while walking none and striking out four.
- White Sox starter Sean Burke yielded one run over 5 1/3 innings while striking out six and walking two. First baseman Jacob Gonzalez made his major league debut with a single in the seventh.
- Reliever Brandon Eisert earned the win, and Tyler Davis recorded his first career save after third baseman Miguel Vargas made a diving catch of Riley Greene's foul popup for the first out in the ninth.
- The White Sox travel to Minnesota on Monday to face Twins RHP Joe Ryan with RHP David Sandlin pitching, while the Tigers head to Tampa Bay to play the Rays.
