The Colombian navy has seized 27 tons of cocaine on the high seas. President Gustavo Petro announced that nine tons of the drug were confiscated from several ships in the Pacific Ocean. Security forces from Panama, Australia, Costa Rica, and El Salvador also participated in the operation. In a second operation near the Canary Islands, 18 tons of cocaine were seized with the support of European police forces.
