Steinkjer24 reporter Johannes Sæheim Pedersen almost had to pull himself on board before departure when the first train in ten months left Steinkjer station on Monday morning. The reopening of the Trønderbanen was marked with speeches, cake and music after the long closure that followed the landslide at Nesvatnet.
Monday was the official opening of the Trønderbanen railway, which has been closed since the landslide in Åsen ten months ago.
