- Amid a wider supermarket trend, Co-op says the scheme aims to reduce food waste while giving extra value to members, following similar efforts by Iceland and Lidl.
- Prices include All Butter Croissants, Bakery Cinnamon Swirls, pains au chocolat, bread rolls and baguettes, with croissants and pains au chocolat at 50p, cheese and tomato turnovers at 50p, and white rustic rolls at 25p.
- To access the discounts, customers must register for Co-op Membership for a '1' fee and sign up via the Co-op app or online.
- As part of expansion plans, Co-op operates 2,300 outlets nationwide, with 2,200 featuring bakery departments, supporting the opening of 120 new stores and refurbishing 80 this year.
