CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer was arrested and charged with driving while impaired over the weekend, police say. Officer Jonathan Nicholas was off-duty when he was arrested by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol on June 8. He was initially stopped for speeding, but was later arrested for DWI.
