- The result positions the Mahayuti to end the Thackeray influence on the Brhanmumbai Municipal Corporation in alliance with the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, while Fadnavis urged elected representatives to act responsibly and transparently.
- The outcome follows last month's first phase win, and `The verdict reflects the trust of the people of Maharashtra in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the policies pursued by the BJP-led alliance`, Fadnavis said amid two phases marked by internal bickering among Mahayuti allies.
