Climatologist Jozef Pecho leaves Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute after almost 15 years

He says that the current management of the SHMÚ and the Ministry of the Environment are making his work unbearable in the long term. The ministry responds that it does not interfere in what is happening at the SHMÚ and only cares about the institute fulfilling its tasks.

Climatologist Jozef Pecho, who spent almost two decades working in hydrometeorology, including 15 years at the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMÚ), announced his departure.
