Claude Is Having some Problems, as Anthropic Confirms an Active Issue — Here's Everything We Know

Reports of issues surged beyond 20,000 on Downdetector, reflecting the platform's massive growth after recently signing up more than 1 million new users daily.
The majority of users reported problems with Claude Chat, while others encountered error messages stating, "Service is temporarily busy" or "You've hit your limit for Claude messages."
Anthropic began investigating elevated error rates shortly before 11 a.m. Eastern time, and by 12:30 p.m. ET, login success rates had stabilized as the company worked to "fully resolve this issue."
The outage impacts a company valued at $380 billion competing fiercely for enterprise market share against rivals including Google and OpenAI, valued at $850 billion.
