Bluejay Baseball wins twice - Cass County Star-Gazette

A mighty fine season is shaping up for the PORTA-AC Central baseball team as two home wins over Class 3A teams last week pushed the Bluejays record to 7-2. Last Monday the Jays defeated Jacksonville 9 to 4 then last Thursday they took down Springfield Southeast 6 to 5 with a walk off win in the bottom of the seventh.

Class 3A, 2A and 1A baseball teams are heating up

The weather is finally warming up and spring is in the air and prep baseball is plentiful in the state. State titles are not won in April, but foundations are being established right now for teams in Class 3A, 2A and 1A to put themselves in the state championship conversation.
