Police in Chatham-Kent say a search is underway for a missing person in the area of the Third Street Bridge.

They, along with Ontario Provincial Police and other first responders, are looking for a missing person, with most of the search efforts happening around the Third Street Bridge.

Chatham Police continue to search for missing person

Police say the investigation remains ongoing at this time.

Police are advising the public of an increased presence along the Thames River on Monday due to an ongoing investigation. Chatham-Kent Police say there is no threat to public safety and encourage residents to continue with their usual activities. The advisory was issued to inform the community of the heightened police activity throughout the day. We’ll provide more details as they become available.
