City of Nelson reveals new plans for future Anderson Creek flooding mitigation

The City of Nelson is repairing the channel of Anderson Creek to alleviate the risk of flooding in the Fairview neighbourhood. This year, city crews will repair a dike at Svoboda Road, install a debris rack upstream of the culvert at Elwyn Street, and install barriers on the north bank at the Seventh Street culvert inlet to prevent erosion.
