- On Tuesday, Warner Bros. debuted exclusive Supergirl footage at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, showing Kara Zor-El battling pirates in deep space. The film stars Milly Alcock as the Girl of Steel and opens in theaters June 26.
- Directed by Craig Gillespie from a script by Ana Nogueira, the film adapts Tom King's 2022 comic book series. DC Studios co-chairman James Gunn described the project as "much more hardcore" than prior iterations.
- Jason Momoa joins the cast as the bounty hunter Lobo, while Alcock learned five fictional languages for her role. The ensemble also features Matthias Schoenaerts as the villainous Krem of the Yellow Hills.
- Studios Co-Chair Peter Safran joked that if Lobo and the Man of Steel met, they would "pound a few hundred beers," quipping the film could hit theaters in 2031.
- Safran noted that filming for Superman: Man of Tomorrow begins next week. The studio also teased The Batman: Part II as part of its slate for 2027 and beyond.
