It was the first and so far only crash of a Boeing 747 Combi due to a fire in the Main Deck Cargo Hold: The crash of the "Helderberg" in 1987 before Mauritius. In 2023 the first German-language non-fiction book on this accident appeared, which demanded 159 human lives and its backgrounds are still not fully clarified.
