A crisis erupted at the Tekirdağ Metropolitan Municipality Council meeting, convened after Mayor Dr. Candan Yüceer resigned from the CHP and joined the YENİ Party. Due to the absence of AKP, CHP, MHP, and independent council members, a quorum could not be reached, and the meeting was postponed.
The first council meeting held after Tekirdağ Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Candan Yüceer left the CHP and joined the New Party was postponed due to the absence of the majority of party members.
