Date Set for Trial of Chloe Mitchell Murder Accused

- Ms Mitchell, 21, was 21 when she went missing in early June 2023 and her remains were found about a week later; Brandon John Rainey, 29, formerly of James Street, Ballymena, is charged with her murder and is due to stand trial at Belfast Crown Court.
- Ms Mitchell's family welcomed the news and thanked North Antrim MLAs and the CBA, while Madam Justice McBride called the decision `excellent news` and a `relief` but noted preparation remains.
- Further meetings are scheduled next week between the Department of Justice and the Criminal Bar Association as an accelerated review of fees aims to enable a full return to work.
