Earlier on September 5, the Trial Court had found the 10 accused persons guilty and convicted them under various sections of the UA (P) Act, the IPC, the Arms Act and the Explosive Substances Act, reserving the award of quantum of punishment.
Thirteen years after the Jhiram Valley Naxalite attack, a special NIA court has sentenced 10 convicts to death. Several senior Congress leaders and workers were killed in the attack on May 25, 2013.
