Abelardo de la Espriella, a favorite of the extreme right in the shootout of June 21, faces a criminal complaint for alleged looting of the health system in the Colombian Caribbean, where funds from patients would have financed his defense and armored companies linked to paramilitary dispossession.
Colombian left-wing presidential candidate Ivan Cepeda said Monday that he will denounce his rival, the ultra-rightist Abelardo de la Espriella, for allegedly having participated in acts of corruption in the health system through his law firm.
The candidate Iván Cepeda has announced this Monday that he will file a criminal complaint against Abelardo de la Espriella for his alleged participation in the looting of the health system in the Caribbean. Cepeda has accused De la Espriella of five crimes: unfair administration, private corruption, procedural fraud, embezzled by appropriation and embezzled by different official application.
