Volker Beck, President of the German-Israeli Society, on the restriction of arms supplies to Israel
The German-Israeli society has criticized the Federal Government's decision not to authorize any further arms exports to Israel. If this were to be a point victory for Hamas in the global propaganda war, the society said.
For the time being, the Federal Government does not want to approve exports of arms that could be used in Gaza. The Central Council of Jews demands that the decision be withdrawn. Criticism is also evident from the CDU's younger generation.
