Centalion Acquires Haynesville Upstream and Midstream Natural Gas Assets From Silver Hill Energy Partners
The deal adds 72,000 net acres and about 300 MMcfd of production as Centalion expands its Gulf Coast natural gas strategy.
- On Monday, Centalion Group acquired upstream and midstream natural gas assets in Texas and Louisiana from Silver Hill Energy Partners, including approximately 72,000 net acres in the Haynesville and Bossier development areas.
- These assets, producing about 300 million cubic feet per day, are valued at approximately $1.5 billion, expanding Centalion's Gulf Coast natural gas strategy built earlier this year.
- Centalion intends to execute an active development program with partner Western Natural Resources, led by Heath Mireles. Chairman and CEO Gary Pedersen stated the acquisition aligns with "U.S. energy dominance" and bolstering domestic energy supply.
- Silver Hill Founder & CEO Kyle D. Miller said the company is "thrilled with this outcome" after years of growth. Silver Hill retains significant operations in the Bakken and Eagle Ford comprising roughly 115,000 operated net acres.
- The commodities trader rebranded as Centalion Group last week, moving from its former name Gunvor, and plans to redomicile its headquarters to Singapore. This supports the firm's broader strategy to maximize value across global energy supply chains.
