CDF Munir says Balochistan, Pakistan share ‘one and forever’ future
On Friday, August 21, 2026, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Defence Forces, met with Balochistan's political leadership, stressing that enduring peace and stability are fundamental to unlocking the province's economic potential.
Munir identified foreign-sponsored proxies designated as 'Fitna al-Hindustan' and 'Fitna al-Khawarij' as obstacles to development, pledging an 'unwavering, resolute and decisive response' to defeat these 'inimical designs' threatening the province.
According to Armed Conflict Location & Event Data , terrorism attacks in Pakistan rose to 2,425 in 2025 from 658 in 2022; Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan attacks increased to 838 from 118 over the same period.
Security forces continue operations under 'Radd-ul-Fitna-3' to eliminate proxies, while Munir described Balochistan's youth as 'the most vibrant and promising segment of our society,' emphasizing that empowering them is central to sustainable progress.
Balochistan's leadership resolved to stand with the state and armed forces against foreign-sponsored threats, pledging to contribute to people-centric development aimed at fostering lasting stability and prosperity across the province.
