OVERSLADE AREA OF RUGBY, WARWICKSHIRE, AUG 5 – Vandals caused thousands of pounds in damage by smashing windows and spray painting 41 vehicles with bizarre messages during a brief overnight spree, police said.

- In the normally quiet Overslade neighbourhood, cars on Saunton Road, Westbourne Grove and Wentworth Road were vandalised between 12am and 2am.
- Some cars were daubed with odd messages like 'Help' and 'We R Here,' and many had front and rear windows smashed.
- Warwickshire Police released CCTV of two individuals they seek to identify and urge anyone with information to call 101 or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
- Crimestoppers is offering up to �1,000 for information, as Chief Inspector Angus Eagles said the incident caused community anguish and prompted a thorough investigation.
