The Romanian Constitutional Court (CCR) rejected the meeting of the AUR in connection with the Law on the Establishment of Restructuring and Efficiencies of Public Resources.

European Parliamentary AUR Adrian Axinia criticises the decision of the Romanian Constitutional Court which has decided on Wednesday to reject the AUR challenge against the law which provides for the increase in local taxes by about 75% beginning on 1 January 2026, showing that a real solution for priorities that cannot be supported is administrative-territorial reorganization, rejected by the current government coalition.
