Castine community clears wildfire risks as Maine faces ongoing drought

Amid severe drought conditions throughout the state, students, and volunteers are joining forces in Castine's Witherle Woods to reduce wildfire danger near homes.

CASTINE -- The many weeks of dry weather during this summer has many parts of Maine experiencing drought and high fire danger. Because of that, Maine Maritime Academy students on Saturday worked to bring safety to their community.
