Carmichael narrowly defeats Pettaway in Ward 3 - The Selma Times‑Journal

Selma City Council Ward 3 was decided early on after the Courthouse and Christian Outreach Facility precincts came in. The results were as close of a margin as you could get, as the race was decided by 11 votes unofficially. Incumbent Clay Carmichael defeated Collins Pettaway III 295-284.
