17 British cannons from the American Revolution recovered from the Savannah River go on display

Seventeen cannons dating to the Siege of Savannah in 1779 by American and French forces were recovered from the Savannah River in 2021 and are now on display. The British naval scuttled two ships to defend the city, which sent the cannons to the bottom of the river nearly 250 years ago.
