Two Investigative Police officers attached to the hotel area of Quintana Roo were arrested by the Attorney General's Office, after being accused of extortion against a woman with a false complaint against her, demanding a sum of 250,000 pesos and threatening her daughter as well.

Two elements of the Investigative Police of the Attorney General’s Office (FGE) were arrested as alleged perpetrators of the crime of extortion of a woman in Cancún. The detainees, Armando René “N” and Mauro Carlos “N”, who were attached to the Hotel Zone of Cancún, came to the victim’s home on June 21, in Supermanzana 251, where they threatened to detain her for allegedly holding investigation kits against her.
