Canadian swimmer Summer McIntosh signs with Octagon athlete agency
The 19-year-old triple gold medallist will be represented by a firm that counts Simone Biles, Steph Curry and Michael Phelps among its clients.
- Canadian swimmer Summer McIntosh has joined the Octagon agency, parting ways with previous representative Michael Copeland.
- After cycling through three coaches in three years, McIntosh committed long-term to Bob Bowman in Austin, Texas, who coached Michael Phelps to 28 Olympic swimming medals.
- The triple gold medallist at the 2024 Paris Olympics will join Octagon's roster alongside Simone Biles and Steph Curry. McIntosh claimed four gold and a bronze at the 2025 world championships in Singapore, becoming the first swimmer since Phelps in 2008 to set three world records in a single meet.
- Peter Carlisle, Octagon's Managing Director of Olympics, stated Tuesday that McIntosh is "a bona fide star across a range of events that has not been seen before in women's swimming," noting her "healthy portfolio of corporate partners" and "long runway for sustained competitive success and global commercial growth."
- With the 2027 world championships in Budapest, Hungary ahead and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics on the horizon, McIntosh's sponsorship deals with Arena, Lululemon, Red Bull, TAG Heuer, RBC, and Air Canada support her path after being named The Canadian Press female athlete of the year in both 2024 and 2025.
