University of Michigan rising sophomore Syla Swords hit the game-winning basket, converting a layup on a sideline out-of-bounds play with 1.4 seconds left to lead Canada to a 76-75 double overtime win over Argentina to earn the bronze medal at the 2025 AmeriCup on Sunday evening (July 6). It marked the third medal of Swords' international career and second at the senior level.
