Cambodia spent 13.2 billion dollars to build a canal to support the Belt and Road

Cambodia held a groundbreaking ceremony for the “Dechong Funan Canal” on Monday as part of China's “Belt and Road” initiative. The canal is 180 kilometers long and was constructed at a cost of 1.7 billion US dollars (approximately HK$13.2 billion). The construction period is estimated to be 4 years.
