One person was killed in a crash on northbound Crowchild Trail early Friday morning. The single-vehicle collision happened near 23 Avenue N.W. at around 2:15 a.m. Police say the silver Kia SUV jumped the median and hit a cement pillar from the pedestrian bridge that runs from McMahon Stadium to the CTrain.  The vehicle was heavily damaged; the hood crushed and the windows smashed.  The driver was the lone person in the vehicle at the time.
