A wildfire burning near Pine Flat Lake has scorched 426 acres and remains just 5% contained as of Monday, according to CalFire. Dubbed the Max Fire, the blaze was first reported shortly after 1 p.m. Sunday in the Blue Canyon area, near Big Creek Road and Vomac Road, according to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.
