A narrow majority in the House of Representatives is putting the brakes on the arrival of F-35s and holiday flights at Lelystad Airport. The House does not want the caretaker government to make a decision on this matter this year, but caretaker Minister Robert Tieman (BBB, Infrastructure) has announced that the government will simply make its own independent assessment.
The House of Representatives is reprimanding Transport Minister Robert Tieman on the Lelystad issue. The BBB director wanted to decide before Christmas whether Lelystad Airport can open for holiday flights, but that's really up to a new cabinet. The parties believe a caretaker cabinet shouldn't be making such a drastic decision. However, Tieman isn't willing to budge for the time being.
