Cabinet approves Rs. 9,585 cr scheme to replace old trucks, buses in Delhi-NCR to curb air pollution

  • The Central Government will offer 5 per cent interest subvention on loans and monthly fuel vouchers, while Participating Auto OEMs provide 8% discounts on ex-showroom prices for new vehicles.
  • Implementation will be fully digital through an integrated portal enabling real-time eligibility checks and automated claims, with benefits continuing for 5 years from vehicle registration to ensure sustained pollution reduction.
