BYU receiver charged with first-degree rape

Kingston was arrested and held without bail after prosecutors charged him with first-degree felony rape following a February 2025 incident, officials said.

  • On Wednesday, prosecutors filed a first-degree felony rape charge against Brigham Young University wide receiver Parker Kingston, Washington County Attorney Jerry D. Jaeger said.
  • The investigation began after A.M., the 20-year-old alleged victim, reported a sexual assault to officers at St. George Regional Hospital on Feb. 27, 2025.
  • The probable cause statement notes Kingston arrived Feb. 23, 2025, watched a movie, engaged in non-intercourse activity, then allegedly raped her after she told him to stop, claiming all was consensual.
  • Kingston was booked into the Washington County Jail on Tuesday and is held without bail, with an initial court appearance set for Friday in St. George before Judge Jay Winward.
  • BYU Athletics said it became aware of Kingston's arrest Wednesday, will cooperate with law enforcement, and noted privacy laws limit further comment; Kingston posted last month he expects to return after 2025 statistics of 67 catches, 928 yards, five touchdowns for his senior season in 2026.
