A Beaver Valley Nitehawks defenceman was honoured with a KIJHL bursary to continue his post-secondary studies. Edmonton product Johnathan Strecheniuk was a force on the Nitehawks blue line the last two seasons, skating in 82 games and amassing 31 points and 73 penalty minutes.
