Prince Edward County has instituted a partial burn ban in response to rising temperatures. The new ban taxes effect immediately. Under this ban, a burn permit is required all open air burning. Burns are also restricted to a container with a screened top or a small campfire. Consumer fireworks are not permitted while the burn ban is in effect.
