Burkina Faso Suspends BBC and Voice of America after covering report on mass killings
Burkina Faso suspended BBC and VOA for airing a report accusing its military of executing 223 people, including 56 children, due to concerns of disinformation and harm to army reputation.
The report stated Burkina Faso's military committed the executions in two villages in February.
The Superior Council of Communications criticized the report for lacking evidence and making biased statements against the Burkina army, prompting the suspension.
