Suspended prison sentences were requested on 12 February against the nine CRS tried in the Paris Correctional Court for battling demonstrators from the yellow vest movement. A young Liberian is among the victims.
The Paris Public Prosecutor's Office requested suspended prison sentences of six to twenty months against the nine CRS accused of beating refugee yellow vests in a restaurant on 1 December 2018.
On Thursday, February 12, on the last day of the hearing of the nine CRSs prosecuted for violence against demonstrators in a fast food in Paris in 2018, the prosecutor requested up to twenty months of suspended imprisonment. The judgement is expected on March 17.
The trial of 9 CRS who had battled demonstrators in a Burger King not far from the Arc de Triomphe, during act 3 of the "yellow vests" in December 2018, opened on Monday in Paris.
6 to 20 months of suspended prison were required against nine CRS suspected of voluntary violence against "yellow vests" that they had beaten in a Burger King in 2018.
