The first Bulgarian satellite "Balkan-1", which will transmit data for the European Union's Copernicus program, has been successfully launched, BTA reported. It was developed by the EnduroSat company and was launched into orbit with the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from the Vandenberg Air Force Base in Santa Barbara, California. The launch of the mission was watched online at the Planetarium of the Nikola J. Naval Academy (VVMU).
