Buildings Get Temporary Reprieve From Carbon Restrictions

Mayor Eric Adams’ administration is giving property owners more time to comply with a citywide law to cut planet-warming carbon emissions from large buildings. Local Law 97, passed by the City Council in 2019, puts limits on the amount of carbon-based gases big buildings, including apartments and offices, can belch out.
