No more tax exemption for luxury vehicles over RM300,000 in Langkawi, Labuan
PETALING JAYA: Luxury vehicles valued at over RM300,000 in Langkawi and Labuan will no longer be entitled to vehicle tax exemptions starting January next year, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

In today’s Budget 2026 presentation (10 October) by Prime Minister Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim in Parliament, he announced that the government is proposing vehicle tax exemptions in Langkawi and Labuan be limited to vehicles valued not exceeding RM300,000 effective 1 January 2026.
