Brush Fire Erupts East of Temecula

A brush fire that erupted Wednesday just east of Temecula blackened about an acre and threatened an outbuilding before it was stopped. The non-injury blaze was reported at 12:20 p.m. near Avenue Madera and De Portola Road, roughly a mile northwest of Vail Lake, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
