- At the AFI Fest opening-night gala on Wednesday, Oct. 22, Bruce Springsteen, 76, was a semi-surprise guest in Los Angeles ahead of the film's Friday, Oct. 24 theatrical release.
 - Adapted from Warren Zanes's book, Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere focuses on Springsteen's creative and personal isolation during Nebraska's recording, with Springsteen heavily involved in the film.
 - Jeremy Allen White re-recorded vocals for `Atlantic City` and `Reason to Believe`, met Springsteen in Nashville who praised his work, and used brown contacts plus Springsteen's wardrobe pieces.
 - Springsteen thanked the cast, saying `They really honored my work and my family and my life experiences`, and signaled this gala as his final movie-night performance.
 - The film's intimate portrait positions it to shed light on Springsteen's creative struggle and criticizes President Donald Trump, calling `Land of Hope and Dreams` a prayer for America.
